Culver City: Bungalow-type homes and world-class restaurants and boutiques
This once bedroom city to Los Angeles has become one of the most dynamic, growing communities in the entire Southern California region. While being “off the radar” since it was founded in the late 1800s, Culver City had been the home of the thousands of studio workers at Metro Goldwyn Mayer studios or working for Howard Hughes. Typical California bungalow-type homes fanned out across the city from its core on Washington Boulevard westward toward the ocean.
In many ways, Culver City has gone unnoticed to speculators and investors until recent years when Sony Pictures became one of the world’s most dominant entertainment companies, attracting new companies and vendors to support their growing global appetite. With the growth of Silicon Beach to the west and north, Culver City has naturally filled a residential, shopping and entertainment void that is now brimming with world-class restaurants and boutiques.
