What is happening in our great community specifically and how did we stack up with the real estate activity between 2013 & 2014?
As I have reported all year long, it has been a very interesting year in real estate, and Bel Air Crest has not been immune to the intrigue. In comparing this past quarter to the last quarter of ’13, we had only one closed escrow in the 4th quarter of 2014 vs. 5 in 2013. Overall, there were more sales in 2013 than in 2014 with 9 Canyon homes selling in 2013 and 14 Custom homes. In looking at the reports, during the last part of the year, there were more Canyon home transactions vs. a stronger market for custom homes in the first part of the year. Overall, the values of the Canyon homes seem to have increased more than Custom homes, but we still have very limited available inventory in the entire community. With the projection for a stronger economy and as such as real estate market, it will be interesting to see what this New Year brings us.
